What is Venus in retrograde?

Venus is known for being the love planet, and when a certain planet is in retrograde it appears to be moving in the opposite direction. With this being said, Venus is throwing us all off our rhythm, whether it be with a current partner, friends, or anyone that you thought was out of your life for good.

So, what does this mean for you?

Each sign will experience something different during October 5 – November 16. It may not be the best time to begin a new relationship due to the fact that Venus is all about realizations in each relationship.

New and old things

Starting something new could be rocky and cause hardships for that relationship if it moves past the retrograde. This is also the time for thinking about your friendships and relationships and if they are all that you want them to be. Some friends will reveal their true colors during this time, and you’ll have to contemplate whether they’re worth keeping around. Consistent relations may turn more inconsistent due to each partner reflecting on what they want and the best way to achieve said things.

How do I get through this in one piece?

The best advice for this period of time is to go through things with caution and don’t just jump right in or go straight in for the kill. If you find yourself going to your ex’s instagram or your ex-best friend’s number, think twice and question, “Would I have done this two weeks ago?” The answer will most likely be no. Be wary of people coming back in, and those wanting to move at a faster pace than you’re ready for. Be safe, be smart, and don’t let this retrograde get the best of you!
