Boston Heatwave In April- Here’s What To Do

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emmanuel chapter.

Boston has had the longest winter. From the end of October until this week we have had freezing rain. Finally Spring has come and there is warm weather in the future. In the upcoming week there will be two days where the weather will be in the seventies. Since it is only April, some beaches may not be open, but don’t worry. Here are some things to do in Boston for this upcoming heatwave.

We can all go on hot girl walks now, thank God. It has been a very sad winter. I know that we all were missing out on hot girl walks. Finally the weather is warm enough to walk for miles outside. There’s great scenery in Boston for these walks too. The flowers are blooming, the trees are growing leaves, and there are so many dogs outside. It’s absolutely wonderful! One of my favorite places to walk in Boston is the Charles River. If you haven’t walked there yet, I recommend you do.

The Boston Common is beautiful during this time of the year. The grass is green instead of dead and there’s flowers everywhere you look. You could have a picnic at the Boston Common in this upcoming heatwave. I have not yet done this but this is my plan for next week!

The Red Sox are coming to town! Spend the day at Fenway Park! The best part is that now it will be warm enough to wear your Red Sox jersey! Here’s a little trick if you’re a student: use your student identification card when buying Red Sox tickets and you can get $9 tickets for the games!

Since it is April, there’s probably a lot of school work being assigned. You can now go outside in a pretty park and do your homework! It makes school work a little more bearable! And while you’re at it, you might as well get a tan.

This upcoming week is making me believe that summer is right around the corner and I cannot wait. I hope that this pattern of weather will stay consistent throughout the rest of the semester. I am over the cold winter and I am welcoming the warm spring.
