There’s a whole new group of high school seniors looking to go to Emmanuel right now and frankly, I’m scared for them. Choosing the right college can be a very stressful decision. It’s important to really look into a school and find out as much as you can before making your choice. For those who are currently exploring Emmanuel, you can stop now. This list will tell you exactly why Emmanuel College is NOT the place for you…
1. The campus is a definite eyesore. I mean, it’s not even nice to look at.
2. Boston is such a terrible location to go to school. If you want to talk about ugly, just take a walk through the Public Garden.
3. Also, there is literally nothing to do in the city. No museums to go to, no rivers to sit by, nothing!
4. Being right down the road from Fenway Park, who even wants that?
5. You’ll never make friends at Emmanuel. People don’t even say hi when you’re on the quad.
6. There is nothing good to eat on campus. Seriously, don’t eat in the dining hall… ever.

7. Emmanuel has absolutely no school spirit. Game attendance rate: zero.

8. Who wants to go to a lacrosse game when the team isn’t that good anyway?

9. The residence hall rooms are so small. You can barely fit one person in there, let alone two!

10. Trying to beat the ‘freshman fifteen’? Good luck! There is no where to work out.

11. The school never changes. The chapel is over 100 years old and they’ve barely touched it. It could use some serious renovation.
12. Caught a glimpse of our school mascot yet? Probably not; Halo is never around.

13. Speaking of mascots, the president of the school, Sister Janet Eisner, is so not cool. It’s not like she’s the nation’s longest-serving woman college president currently in office or anything. Nor did she throw the first pitch at a Red Sox game. Now that would be cool!

14. The school as a whole is so un-philanthropic. We don’t even support one good cause!
15. Honestly, when you walk by Emmanuel, you’re bound to think, “Wow, that place looks so uninviting.” That’s because it’s true.
So in case you were thinking of coming here, I think the answer is obvious: don’t.
