The Top 3 Reasons To Stay In Boston This Summer

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emerson chapter.

In just seven short weeks it will finally be summer, and nothing beats summers in Boston. By May the Common will be green, going to the Esplanade will be fun, and the weather will be well over 30 degrees. If that isn’t cause enough, here are the top three reasons why you should stay in Boston this summer!

1. Internships

There are SO many opportunities for internships here in Boston and there’s no better time to do it than in the summer. There are internships out there that offer half summer programs and full summer programs, so whatever your preference, you have options. There’s still time to apply and you can check out some great Boston internships here!

2. Get some classes out of the way

We all know how stressful a semester can be, and after the spring semester ends, all anyone wants is a break – but taking summer classes will definitely pay off in the long run.  If you’re planning to graduate early, or if you just want to get ahead with your credits, you can choose to take a full or half summer class. Check out the available classes for Summer Sessions 1 and 2 here!

3. Make some money

If your apartment lease isn’t up until September, it might be a great time to change that part-time job into a full-time job for the summer. Ditch the stress of finding someone to sublet your room and make some extra cash!

Don’t waste any time in making a decision about your summer plans, stay in Boston and make summer 2015 the best yet!
