At this year’s Grammy Awards women took over, Taylor Swift announced a brand new album after winning Record of the Year for the fourth time, and the stage saw powerful performances from Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, and more.

Phoebe Bridgers took home the most awards of the night, one for her feature on a SZA song, and three with her band Boygenius. Taylor Swift took home the Grammy for Album of the Year for her latest new album “Midnights.”

Record of the Year, was awarded to well deserved Miley Cyrus, who won her first two Grammys ever, for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her latest album “Endless Summer Vacation.”

Billie Eilish took two Grammys this year for Song of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media, for “What Was I Made For?” from the 2023 film “Barbie.” Eilish now has nine Grammy Award Wins in her career so far.

Women seemed to dominate the night, with Taylor Swift making history after winning Album of the Year for the fourth time. Majority of performers for the 66th annual Grammy Awards were women, including Billie Eilish, SZA, Olivia Rodrigo, and more.

Victoria Monét also won Best New Artist, and took home three awards all together. While many feel SZA was robbed from more awards, SZA received four awards for her latest album “SOS.”

  1. Best Grammys Performances

Two very powerful performances of the night both came from women. While both performances were extremely impressive, they were also very different from each other. One filled with raspiness and power, while the other emphasized the fragility and reality of being a woman so perfectly.

Miley Cyrus made her debut performance of her song “Flowers,” and let’s just say that it did not disappoint. Cyrus’ unique and raspy vocals filled the performance with power like no other. Along with making hilarious remarks to the audience and the stunning outfit dress she wore, Cyrus absolutely killed this performance, owning the whole message behind her single.

Billie Eilish, alongside her singer-songwriter brother Finneas, performed a beautiful and emotional version of “What Was I Made For?” The piano performance graced the audience with a perfect delicate, but strong performance. Eilish channeled the sixties, by wearing a checkered jacket and pink head scarf while performing.

  1. Best Grammys Win

Although many artists made history at this year’s annual Grammy Awards, one artist and group stood out in particular. Phoebe Bridgers won the most awards of the night, one from her collaboration with SZA for “Ghost in the Machine,” for Pop Duo Performance.

Along with three others with her band Boygenius, for Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song, and Best Alternative Music Album for their latest album, “The Record.”

  1. Best Grammys Announcement

Taylor Swift surprised many fans after announcing a brand new album, after winning her 13th Grammy for Album of the Year for “Midnights.” While many fans thought she would announce “Reputation Taylor’s Version,” she surprised them by announcing a brand new album.

“The Tortured Poets Department” will be released on April 19, 2024. Swift said she has been working on this album for the past two years, and started working on it right after she finished working on “Midnights.”
