David Frankel returns to direct the sequel to the beloved 2006 fashion comedy-drama The Devil Wears Prada. Picking up twenty years after the events of the first film, the sequel follows Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly, the bossy and cruel editor-in-chief of fashion magazine Runway, as she navigates the struggles of the modern fashion and publishing industry. Emily Blunt reprises her role as Emily Charlton, one of Miranda’s old assistants who is now a high-powered executive at luxury brand Dior. Anne Hathaway returns as a more confident Andy Sachs, Priestley’s other assistant in the original film, now a seasoned journalist rekindling past relationships. Stanley Tucci reprises his role as the sassy art director of Runway, Nigel Kipling.

A24’s latest sci-fi horror movie actually takes its inspiration from an online horror legend. The “backrooms” are a fictional location originating from a 2019 online thread. “Backrooms” are portrayed as vast, liminal, empty spaces, accessible only by exiting reality. The film is based on director Kane Parson’s YouTube series, which centers around a fictional research institute that discovers the “backrooms” and attempts to research it. The feature film will follow a therapist who ventures to the “backrooms” to search for her missing patient.

Gaining popularity for the hit Disney+ series The Mandalorian, everyone’s favorite space bounty hunter Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal, and adorable alien Grogu, who captured the internet’s heart, are making their big-screen debut. The film will follow the duo as they help take down remaining imperial warlords in the galaxy and preserve everything the rebellion fought for. Jon Favreau, who produced the original series, co-wrote and directed the new film.

The overall plot remains pretty mysterious, but Spielberg’s knack for sci-fi and a strong cast, including Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colman Domingo, and Colin Firth, are sure to make it an entertaining watch. Renowned composer John Williams, known for making the iconic soundtrack to films like the Harry Potter series and Star Wars, and who has collaborated with Spielberg on many of his past films, will be scoring the movie.

Played by Milly Alcock, of House of the Dragon, the film will follow Supergirl and her alien dog, Krypto, as they travel across the galaxy. After meeting a young girl with a tragic backstory, Supergirl follows her on a journey of revenge. James Gunn, who directed last year’s Superman, is set to produce, and David Corenswet, Superman himself, is set to make an appearance.

The film chronicles his long journey and encounters with mystical creatures like cyclops, nymphs, and sirens. With a budget of $250 million, it’s Nolan’s most expensive and ambitious film yet.
