A Quick Fall Playlist For Your Autumnal Needs

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emerson chapter.

October is here and the air in Boston is finally giving us that familiar chill that we love to hate. Instead of staying in bed having nightmares about the harsh winter ahead of us, bundle up and head outside with some headphones and listen to some of the best songs for fall!

I know, personally, when I think of fall music, I think of very mellow and acoustic sounds with folk-y lyrics. So, here are some of my favorite autumn tunes that I listen to as I take walks through the Common!

1. Begin Again – Taylor Swift(Say what you will about TSwift, but this song makes me simultaneously want to cry and fall in love while also being bought coffee by a cute boy.)

2. Can’t Help Falling in Love – Ingrid Michaelson cover(Both the classic and the cover are wonderful.)

3. First Day of My Life – Bright Eyes

4. Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy – Fall Out Boy(Important throwback for anyone whose Fall Out Boy phase was as real as mine.)

5. Hey Jude – The Beatles

6. Macy’s Day Parade – Green Day

7. Never Think – Rob Pattinson

(Yes, Rpatz made the list)

8. Only God Knows – Ron Pope

9. Shake It Out – Florence and the Machine

10. Shelter From the Storm – Bob Dylan

11. Soul Meets Body – Death Cab for Cutie

12. Sunday Morning Coming Down – Johnny Cash

13. Think of You Later (Empty Room) – Every Avenue(Weird video, good song)

14. Sit Down by the Fire – The Veils

15. Slow it Down – The Lumineers

16. You – The Pretty Reckless

17. Gone The Bells – Cotton Jones

18. Hero – Family of the Year

19. Don’t Wait – Mapei

Obsessed with the Kennedy family and cheesecake, respectively.
