Spring is almost here! For some that means freshening up their wardrobe, for others it’s a signal to head to the gym to get ready for bikini season, and for some it means a new ‘do! New hairstyles for Spring and Summer are popping up here and there, and let me be the one to tell you, they are bold, fresh and hot!

Color
If you’re looking for a new shade, the new fad on campus, in Boston and practically all over the place is Ombre. This style of dying, going from darker to lighter, is not only cheap but cute (and it doesn’t completely hurt your hair). Another plus to this is if you get sick of it, you can get a haircut and it’ll be gone.

For those of you who are really brave, a new style coming about is the Dip-Dye. This is a bolder version of ombre, and is exactly what it sounds like. It is as if you dipped your hair into dye. It creates two distinct colors in your hair, unless you’re Nikki Minaj and have quite a few already. Similar to ombre, it allows you to have more than one color in your hair at one time, but lets you get rid of it as quickly as you got it.

Cuts
Nothing can be more refreshing than just cutting all of your hair off. I know this from experience; I’ve cut off 14+ inches two times in the past four years. The Bob is a great way to cut away the past and start new for this fresh and new time of year.

Bangs

Some people love them, some people hate them. Either way, they’re coming back from the spring. Bangs have the ability to add quite a statement to your everyday hairstyle and can make the biggest difference in the easiest (and cheapest) way. There are many styles of bangs and they can be so versatile.

Styles
Tired of a plain old braid, but want to keep your hair together in a stylish way? Try the Fishtail Braid. It takes a little longer than a braid, but is worth the time you put in. You can find a ton of tutorials online and on Youtube. This braid creates a unique texture in your hair that will get people constantly asking you how you did it.

Now that you have all of the Spring styles for your hair, you can try them out individually or together. A lot of these styles, colors and cuts go very nicely together and can make your hair look that much better.
