Just because Valentine’s Day is over doesn’t mean you have to stop spreading the love! Here are some tips for making someone smile today:

1. Write to them

Whether you text your mom to say good morning, write your roomie a nice post-it note greeting, or send your hometown friend a letter, writing is a great way to remind someone that you care!

2. Make them laugh

Tell a funny joke to someone on the T or share your favorite puns with a classmate.

3. Treat them to lunch

Take a friend out for a meal or grab a quick coffee between classes!

4. Make something

Utilize your talents to give your friend or loved one a unique gift: bake them yummy cookies, record a kind video message, or paint them a picture.

5. Compliment often

Compliments are awesome because they are a free, quick, and easy way to make someone smile!

6. Offer to pick up their slack

If you see someone struggling to get things done, offer a helping hand. Switch your friend’s laundry or help someone with a lot of bags get to their room – they’ll appreciate the break!

7. Give a gift

Gifts don’t have to be elaborate to be meaningful. If you find yourself with a few dollars to spare, consider giving a token of appreciation to someone you admire. Consider getting them a gift card to their favorite coffee shop, a neat postcard, or some fun socks.
