Spring has sprung, and it has brought with it the usual crop of bright new trends. It’s now impossible to shop anywhere without being assaulted by an army of incredibly colorful clothes. After a long winter of neutrals, it can be tough to jump right into a neon color blocked ensemble. But fear not! Color blocking is easier than you think, and you can choose how loudly your wardrobe shouts, “Hello, spring!”

Mild

If you’re just looking to dip your toes in color blocking, you might want to incorporate it with other trends. This spring brings us florals, cropped tops and jeans, bandeaus, and romantic colors. Putting it all together conjures images of brunch on Newbury Street, or a girl’s day out. Pastels keep it sweet and understated, and the fun glasses will rose-tint your world.

Moderate

Ramp up the saturation with this extra-warm spring day look (hello, 80 degree days in March!) The fun top and comfy flats make this look perfect for a Boston Common adventure, but it’s the accessories (and the sparkly nail polish!) that really make it pop! Throw your hair up in a high bun and you’re good to go ‘till the sun sets.

Extreme

For the truly bold at heart, dial the volume up to 10 and turn heads everywhere you go with this extreme ensemble! Betsey Johnson jewels and suede pumps add an air of luxury, and if you’re looking for something to make you stand out at a professional mixer, this is your go-to.

Pro-tip: Don’t forget to add some neutrals if you’re going with the brightest hues. You don’t want to look like a pack of highlighters!
