I love traveling as much as the next person, however, I feel the need to separate the act of getting to the destination and then being in that destination. Being on the beach is fun, but taking three planes, two buses and a taxi to get there… not as fun, at least for me. I get quite car sick, plane sick, all types of vehicle sick, so the sooner I can get to the place I want to go, the better.
Lucky for me, I listen to way too much music, from a range of genres that should not even exist (I will spare you from the Ukrainian bagpipes). When I put my earbuds in and observe the world through a new lens, it all looks different. Mundane streets have a backstory, one I can get lost in, and events that would usually bring anxiety are just merely unsettling.
