Pantone’s Color of the Year, ultra-violet, inspired fashion’s new love affair with purple. Spring is officially here, and I can think of no better time to start experimenting with all the different, beautiful shades of purple. Here are five ways to incorporate this season’s ultimate it-color.

1. Nail Polish

Nail polish is a great, subtle way to inject any trendy color into your look. Try picking a lavender hue when you get your nails done or buying a bottle of dark purple polish from your nearest CVS!

2. Eyeshadow

Spring is all about florals and pops of vibrancy, making it the perfect time to experiment with color in your makeup routine. Light purple eyeshadows can brighten up the eye beautifully, while  deep purple shades can create the perfect smoky-eye look.

3. Pant Suit or Blazer

Pant suits are very on trend this season, and what better way to kill two birds with one stone than getting your hands on a beautiful lilac set? The great thing about pant suits is that they can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. A fun purple hue injects personality into the outfit and will for sure make you stand out in the crowd.

4. Faux Fur Coat

We’re finally swapping our bulky, heavy winter coats for lighter spring jackets. While we’re at it, why not have a little fun with outerwear by trying out a purple faux fur coat? A royal purple hue paired with a luxe texture could just be the right amount of glam you never knew you needed in your wardrobe.

5. Chunky Heels

Chunky heels, in my opinion, are a gift from the fashion gods. They’re super cute and much more comfortable than those pesky stilettos. A light purple pair can liven up any t-shirt and jeans combo or add that extra zing to a neutral-color bodycon dress.
