5 Ways to Celebrate Friendsgiving

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emerson chapter.

Friendsgiving is a great way to get everyone together to celebrate the bonds you all have created over time, but what can you do to celebrate all your favorite people? Here are some quick Friendsgiving plans to make with your friends!

1.) Cook a fancy dinner

One of the best parts of Thanksgiving  is cooking a big meal for all your loved ones, so why not cook a big meal for you and your closest friends?  While traditional Thanksgiving meals involve turkey and all the fixins, you can really take this any direction you want.  Cooking is a great bonding sesh for you and your friends, especially if you all do it together!

2.) Alternatively, go out for a fancy dinner

Okay, so we can’t all be chefs.  If you’re worried about accidently poisoning your friends like I am, pick a fancy restaurant and go out for the night.  If you’re like me, you never eat out anywhere that costs you more than $15, and even that’s a stretch, but for one night, let loose and spend a little money on yourself.  You deserve it everyone once in a while!

3.) Have a movie night

Nothing beats curling up under a blanket and watching your favorite rom-com, so why not do it with all your friends?  Grab the popcorn, grab the tissues, and throw on The Notebook for the 3,000th time!

4.) Have a game night

If you and your friends are as ~FUN~ as mine, game nights are a great way to celebrate with a competitive edge.  Share some laughs and a pizza while competing over The Game of Life!

5.) Have a Spa night

Makeovers are the best way to detox from the stress of your everyday lives, so grab some pizza, get some face masks, and vent until the night is over.  It’s a great way to appreciate the friendships that you have with one another and allows you to practice some self-care, which is one of the most important things you can do!
