Who says pumpkins have to be scary? If you’re looking for a few easy, fun carve-less pumpkin decorating ideas, look no further! These pretty pumpkins are sure to liven up your space this Halloween.

1. The Dip-Dye

For this neat dip-dye effect, use painters tape to separate the two halves of the pumpkin. Paint the two halves whatever colors you desire, and cover one half with a gloss to contrast the matte paint. Touch up the portion that was under the tape, and you’re done!

2. The Stick-On

While you could paint pumpkins whatever colors you desire, these black and white pumpkins are a bit classier than traditional Halloween décor. Glue on some patterned ribbons to give them texture, or experiment with other items like felt pieces, gems or puffy paint!

3. The Stamp

These intricate pumpkins are much simpler than they look. All you need is a stencil of your choice (or any sort of homemade paper cut-outs) and some spray paint.

4. The Multi-Pumpkin Project

If you think one pumpkin is not enough of a challenge, you can always incorporate many different size gourds for a whole Halloween scene! Pick up a few different shapes and sizes on your trip to the pumpkin patch!

5. Special Effects

If you are looking for a modern pumpkin idea, try a pumpkin galaxy! Start by painting your pumpkin with chalkboard paint. Then sketch some stars and the lines of your favorite constellation on with chalk. Drill holes for the constellation points, and insert battery-operated lights for a starry effect! Bonus: You get the traditional jack-o-lantern glow without the flame!
