5 Inexpensive Warm Weather Date Ideas

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emerson chapter.

The warm spring and summer months are upon us yet again and it can be tricky to find inexpensive things to do while still enjoying the warmth. Here are some cheap date ideas to help you kick off the season with your SO.

1. Go on a hike

I know it may sound boring or to some it may sound too active. But the truth is there is a hike out there for everyone (and by hike I mean you could just take a stroll in the woods). Nature is fun and beautiful. Why not be surrounded by beauty while you’re hanging with a beautiful person?

2. Hit up the drive in

It’s often a cheap way to get cozy and see a few movies for half the price you would at the theater. Plus, if you’re bored of the movie, no one is going to shush you if you want to talk and laugh. It’s also a nice opportunity to build a pillow fort in the trunk of your car.

3. Get up early one morning and watch the sun rise

It’s a nice way to make the most of the whole day. Be sure that there is coffee involved.

4. Get outside and play some games

There is everything from soccer, to baseball, to kickball. Don’t worry if you are not an athlete; there is always P.I.G. and H.O.R.S.E. Winner gets a kiss!

5. Go estate sale-ing or yard sale-ing

Just look for signs around town. Who knows what you might find?
