We all know how hectic city life can sometimes get, so take a day away and enjoy the many other towns and activities Massachusetts has to offer!

Apple Picking at Belkin Family Lookout Farm

If you’re in New England during the fall, there’s no excuse to NOT go apple picking. Belkin Family Lookout Farm is only 17 miles away from Downtown Boston and not only do they offer apple picking, but also free magic shows (for the kid in you) and a petting zoo.

Hiking at The Blue Hills Reservation

It’s not as hard to get time away from Boston as one may think! Fall is one of the best times to visit New England, if not live in it. The Blue Hills Reservation has over 7,000 acres of the great outdoors. Whether you’re into walking trails, picnicking with friends, or just getting away from the city life, The Blue Hills Reservation is a great escape.

Shopping at The Wrentham Outlets

We all know how expensive shopping in a big city can be, so save yourself some money and take a trip to The Wrentham Outlets, only 37 miles away from Boston! Stores at The Wrentham Outlets include American Eagle, Coach, Aldo and over fifty more. Not to mention, the area around The Wrentham Outlet has a bunch of easily accessible restaurants.

Day Trip to Providence, Rhode Island

Not many people know how easy it is to take a train from South Station to Providence, Rhode Island, but in reality, it is SO easy! Providence, RI is only an hour away from Boston by train which gives you no reason to not go to Providence at least once while living in Boston. Take the one hour trip and experience hot spots like Federal Hill, The Providence Place Mall, and the water fires!

Day at a Corn Maze at Connors Farm

Corn mazes usually seem to have a childish connotation to a college student, but from experience, they’re actually a super fun fall activity. Even though Connors Farm is about a 45 minute drive away from campus, corn mazes take a good few hours to complete and not to mention Connors Farm also offers hayrides, live entertainment, and more!
