Travel Essentials to Make Your Next Trip Easier

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Elon chapter.

Winter vacation, fake break, spring break, oh my! Here at Elon we get our fair share of time off. Many students come to Elon from out of state, which means flying home. I always find myself getting annoyed with having to pack and travel home for such short periods of time. Here is a list of a couple essentials I have found that make the journey home more comfortable, convenient, and relaxing.

Packing Cubes:

One of the worst parts of traveling is packing your bag, it’s honestly half the battle. These convenient little cubbies hold all your clothes and maximize your suitcase space. No need for a checked bag if you can fit everything in your carry on!

Order these with Prime on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/JJ-POWER-Packing-Luggage-Organizers/dp/B01MU18ORU…

Travel Tote:

Your bag that holds your airport essentials needs to be durable and cute. With lots of compartments, this bag will hold everything from your airplane reading material, headphones, and snacks.

Warm Layers:

I am always freezing on the plane and I can never get a good nap in while I’m cold! Simple fix: a cute fuzzy jacket that feels more like a blanket.

This one from Pink is super cozy: https://www.victoriassecret.com/pink/cozy/sherpa-cardigan-pink?ProductID=427965&CatalogueType=OLS

Lip Mask:

It’s still winter which means dry skin! The cabin pressure on the plane does not help with that at all. Try a lip mask for the plane. This one from La Neige is a fan favorite, plus it tastes like pink starbursts!
