It’s officially the most romantic time of the year! This week is full of roses, hearts and sweets. Some of us dread Valentines Day because they don’t have a boyfriend or girlfriend and think it’s a basic holiday, but times have changed ladies! You can dedicate this official holiday to your best friends aka Galentine’s Day. I know pink and red might not be our favorite color, but this is the one day it’s acceptable to go ALL OUT in everything pink and red. Since Valentines Day falls mid week this year, it’s always acceptable to celebrate the weekend after! Here are a few of my favorite ideas and inspirational pictures for Galentine’s Day (weekend).
1. Waffle Bar
A waffle bar is the perfect way to start of the day with your girlfriends! Indulge in a delicious waffle bar full of your favorite toppings.
2. Make your own pizzas
Who doesn’t love a “make your own pizza night?” It’s also a cheaper and more comfortable alternative then going out to dinner surrounded by many MANY couples.
Hosting or attending a Galentine’s Day brunch is also an excuse to dress up and take cute pictures with your friends!
4. Spa day/ weekend
Treat yourself to a nice day at the spa with your friends or do it at home! A little TLC is always needed and you’ll feel rejuvenated and refreshed after.
5. See Fifty Shades Freed
For the past three Valentines Day Fifty Shades has been the main talking point. Who doesn’t want to see it at this point?!
6. Super pink extra drinks
It’s ok to be extra! Go above and beyond and make your drink look as good as it tastes!
Treat yourself! Shopping is always a stress relief and buying something new for your upcoming evening plan is a perk.
8. Movie Marathon
Grab a bunch of movies you’ve been dying to watch, but have never had the time to get through them all! Transform your living room into your own in home theater and sit back and relax with a nice cold drink in hand and popcorn of course! :)
9. Road Trip
Take a road trip to a place none of you have been to! It will be an experience you’ll all remember and will be nice to step away from reality for a few hours or even a few days.
