You most likely know Her Campus as a fun way to take a break from your hectic days as a college student or an easy way to get involved in a writing-focused student organization. This year, Her Campus is committed to standing for more.

In partnership with the Peace Corps, Her Campus is making an effort to support the U.S. government’s Let Girls Learn initiative. According to a guidebook from the Peace Corps, the goal of Let Girls Learn is to “expand access to education and empowerment for girls around the world.”
An astonishing 62 million girls globally are not in school. It is a mission of Let Girls Learn to make every American aware that they can get involved and make a difference. As incredibly fortunate Elon students, it is our responsibility to be aware of the need for change.
Keep an eye out for possible Her Campus events in support of Let Girls Learn and the mission of all the amazing Peace Corps volunteers involved.
