A desire for beautiful hair and perfectly smooth skin is huge for many girls, but it is hard to keep up on a college budget. There are always new beauty products on the market, but when you also have the necessary shampoo, toothpaste and deodorant in your cart, things start to add up. What if I told you there is a way to flawless beauty that doesn’t involve spending $50 on moisturizer? Here’s the secret: Skip Ulta and Sephora and try Harris Teeter or Loews!

Believe it or not, many amazing, natural beauty products can be found in the aisles of your local grocery store. Here are a few of my favorites. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Coconut Oil

It is the ultimate craze among celebrities right now. Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Aniston, Gisele Bundchen and my fabulous mom all swear by it. Put it on food, add it to your nail polish, rub it on your lips or use it as deodorant. It is a thousand products in one and definitely worth the money!

Apple Cider Vinegar

A less known wonder, apple cider vinegar can be used to wash hair, treat acne and even sooth sunburns!

Baking Soda

You see this one in lots of different products like toothpaste and deodorant. It is common, but it works wonders!

Lemon Juice

If lemon water isn’t reason enough for you to purchase a few of these guys, you can use them for other things! Lemons help remove sunspots, reduce wrinkles, lighten your hair and shrink your pores.
