Love is in the air this crisp fall season. Every couple needs to go on at least one (or 9!) romantic seasonal date(s), and I have just the perfect ideas to keep your romance sparkling! These are moments you won’t want to forget! Grab your boy and snuggle up in a blanket, choosing which one to do first may take a while!
Tailgate/Football Game
Have no fear, college football season is still in the running! You know your guy loves football, so show him how much you care by going to a game together! Attend, or host a tailgate together to get some delish food, to battle each other in a rousing game of cornhole and to socialize around as an official couple. During the game, you can cuddle up together in a blanket and sip on tasty hot cocoa. Touchdown! Â He will definitely want to share a sweet kiss when his team scores!
Hiking & Biking
Show your athletic side by going on romantic hike together on a crisp fall day! Check out local listings for an exotic, but safe hiking trail for the day. If you’re feeling ambitious, make it a daylong biking trip. Pack some homemade snacks for the day and bring lots of cider to keep hydrated. Make some stops at scenic views like waterfalls to just sit and admire the season, while also admiring each other! Have some innocent fun by piling up leaves and throwing them at each other, or jumping in. You’re never too old for a good ol’ leaf fight!
Wine Tastings
Take a daytrip to a local vineyard (if you’re over 21, of course!) on a beautiful autumn day and cheers to your beautiful relationship! Learn about the history of the vineyard and the types of wines in a romantic manner, and make sure to take a bottle home of vintage wine to share! Walking tours are the way to go, and you might even get to sample some gourmet cheeses and deserts on the way! As the original wine makers would say, Vive!
Picnic
Romantic picnics can never go wrong! Find an ideal location, like a lake with amazing views, or a special pastime spot you both cherish and dine on your favorite meals! Cook them together beforehand to make it even more sentimental and don’t forget the seasonal apple pie. Better yet, pack that savory new wine! This gives you both a chance to just relax and have a great conversation. Spice it up a little and check out these ultimate fall picnic DIY’s.
Apple Picking
Scope out some local orchards and go apple picking with your man! It’s great quality time, and beautiful scenery. Check out if they have any seasonal apple products too, like apple cider. No one was lying when they said that the best way to a man’s heart is through this stomach. Take those apples home and impress each other in the kitchen by baking a special apple pie together – adorable and delicious!
Pumpkin Patch
Channel your inner childhood and go pumpkin picking for the day! Have fun with it by picking ones of all different shapes and sizes, and take lots of cheesy pictures. When you go home, you can carve them together, which means more quality time! Decorate them with glitter or paint, or carve it out and put a candle in it for a romantic glow. Also, make sure to bake those pumpkin seeds; add a little olive oil, salt, cinnamon, sugar, nutmeg, and brown sugar, and ta da, heaven!
Fall Festivals
What better way to celebrate the season with your loved one than by going to a festival dedicated to everything fall? I personally drive out an hour to a different state to get to the best fall fests, so don’t be afraid to explore nonlocal fests! Sample all the delicious sweets and dips, and pick some out for movie nights with your guy. Go on rides and attractions together for picturesque moments, and check out local crafters and food vendors for unique items and food you can experience together!
Hayride
There’s nothing better than getting to snuggle up with your man while having gorgeous views of nature. Remember to bring a cozy blanket along for the ride and a camera to document this romantic moment with your man and the autumn views. Find a hayride that provides delicious hot cocoa and cider for night rides and sip it together under the beautiful moonlight!
Fall Foliage Drive
Did someone say road trip? There is absolutely no season more mesmerizing than fall, so take an afternoon drive along some back roads to check out the gorgeous sights. Make a few pit stops along the road to take some Instagram worthy pictures that you can impress everyone with (hint: #nofilter). Enjoy the amazing autumn colors and have a casual but flirty chat with your man. And don’t forget to bring along a CD of all your favorite tunes to sing along to!
