5 Things You Have to do Over Thanksgiving Break:

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Elon chapter.
  1. Eat as much home cooked food as you can:

Even with the new addition of McEwen dining hall, nothing can beat some home-cooked meals. Enjoy all the fresh baked goods your mom makes, but most importantly eat as much Thanksgiving food as you can.

  1. See your friends from high school.

For some, this will be the first time seeing your friends since the summer or maybe even since graduation. Get out there and visit your favorite old spots.

  1. Try to score some Black Friday deals.

Christmas gifts sneak up on you. Try to see if there are any good deals at the mall or Target to stock up on presents for your family and friends. And hey, you can also look for some deals to buy yourself a couple of presents too.

  1. Relax in front of the TV with family and friends.

Nothing is better than relaxing by the couch with a great show or movie on. Add some cozy blankets, hot cocoa and you can’t lose. Netflix is calling to you!

  1. Enjoy some football.

What’s Thanksgiving without a little football? Maybe head to your high school’s game or opt to watch a bit of the NFL game while the turkey is cooking.
