The 2016 Vagina Monologues at Elon University

Calling all ladies and gents, The Vagina Monologues will be back at Elon this Sunday (Oh btw its Valentine’s day incase you forgot), and you get to listen to some pretty awesome ladies perform different skits about vaginas. Pretty amazing, right?

In short, the show is something you won’t want to miss….

“An Obie Award-winning whirlwind tour of a forbidden zone, The Vagina Monologues introduces a wildly divergent gathering of female voices, including a six-year-old girl, a septuagenarian New Yorker, a vagina workshop participant, a woman who witnesses the birth of her granddaughter, a Bosnian survivor of rape, and a feminist happy to have found a man who ‘liked to look at it.'”

When: Sunday, Febuary 14th Peformances at 6:30 & 9:00

Where: Whitley Auditorium 

Tickets are $5, with all proceeds going to CrossRoads Sexual Assault Response and Resource Center.

Her Campus Elon loves supporting events that inspire women all across the nation. The Vagina Monologues brings together some brave and unique women who raise a great amount of money for a powerful cause.

My name is Tatum Pederson and I am a senior at Elon University majoring in Journalism and minoring in Digital Art. I am currently Editor-in-Chief of Her Campus Elon and I am an Entertainment Editor for Elon University’s magazine, The Edge. This summer, I was an Entertainment Intern at Niche Media in New York City. I learned how to transcribe interviews, assist at photo shoots, and conduct research on various entertainment topics. Last year, I was an Art and Editorial Intern at ELLE Decor magazine. At this internship, I worked closely with the Editor-in-Chief, Michael Boodro. I edited a “Behind The Scenes” video for the September 2014 Online Shopping section and was also published in the October 2014 issue. Two summers ago, I was an Entertainment Intern for Pink and Black magazine. I researched and wrote numerous articles involving media and entertainment. I am an extremely organized and creative student with experience in both a fast-paced environment and the magazine industry.
