The Summer Breakup

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at ECU chapter.

Summer I think it’s time we talked.

Summer you were so good to me.  You gifted me with new adventures.  You guided me to meet so many new friends.  You bronzed my skin and bleached my hair.  You provided me with nights I’ll never forget or remember. How I could ever want to let you go is beyond me but I think its time to say our goodbyes.

I know this will be hard but I think that it’s for the better.  I have a lot to look forward to.  I hate to say it but I think I love someone else. You don’t need to worry about me anymore because I know there are so many things to come.

I get this warm, fuzzy feeling whenever I think about them.  I think about all the things that they love, that I love and I know that this is a good one.  I get to look forward to cuddling and the endless family time with home-cooked meals.  They spoil me with endless pumpkin spice and don’t get me started on the sweaters.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that we had a great time but I’m moving on. We had our fun but our time is over. Maybe things will work out again next year.

Fall knows how to treat me right.
