Dear Boyfriend,
We’ve now been together for officially two years. It feels like time has flown by, but at the same time I feel like I’ve known you my whole life. I guess that’s because it’s just impossible to imagine my life now without you in it. You have been a true blessing in my life ever since the moment I laid eyes on you. It was truly love at first sight. You wasted no time making me your girlfriend and we’ve been going strong ever since. I wouldn’t have wanted our story to happen any other way.
There’s a quote I recently read that says, “Every girl has her best friend, boyfriend, and true love. But you’re really lucky if they’re all the same person.” I can confidently say that you are all three of those to me. You’re my best friend because we do everything together and we can make anything memorable. You’re my boyfriend because you’re my #1 supporter and you know exactly how to lift me up when I’m down. And you’re my true love because there aren’t words to describe what you mean to me.
You couldn’t have come into my life at a better time those two years ago. I don’t know where I would be or what I’d be doing if I didn’t have you by my side. I’m glad we met when we did because it gave us more time to have together and we get to share our college experience. You’ve been there for me since day one and you’ve helped shape me into who I am today. You have accepted everything about me and still love me for who I am. There are no secrets between us, and that is just one of many things that I truly cherish about us. You’ve always made me your priority and you’ve always been mine.
When we talk, we talk about “us.” There’s no “you” and “me”. We’re a team and that is something that will never change. I love how we spend so much time with each other because when we’re together it just feels right. No one can change that about us and everyone has pretty much accepted by now that we’re a package deal.
I’m so thankful for you for more reasons than I could ever count. I love how protective you are, and I love how you let everyone know what I mean to you. You always know exactly how to make me laugh and how to put a smile on my face. You’re always there for me no matter what and you always seem to know how I’m feeling. Sometimes I really feel like you know me better than I know myself. You love me unconditionally and you make that clear each and every day. I will never take what we have for granted.
When I was younger, I loved all the fairytales and storybook romances. Deep down, though, I honestly felt like those expectations were unrealistic. But when I met you, all of that changed in an instant. I never actually thought someone like you existed. You treat me like I’m a princess and you never fail to make me feel beautiful. Not only have you far surpassed any hopes or expectations I ever had, but also I find myself falling for you again and again every single day.
I wrote this open letter because I want to tell everyone how much you mean to me. I knew when I found the “one” I would want to scream it to the world. You’re not just a boyfriend to me. You’re my everything. I’ll love you forever.
