It was an exciting day at ECU last Tuesday when the Possible New Members got their bids and ran home for the first time! Recruitment is a stressful process, but I’m sure every girl that has been through it would say that bid day makes it all worthwhile! I had two friends each on different ends of this process. One, a junior enjoying her third bid day. The other a sophomore, rushing to find her sisters.
Amelia was very anxious about rushing. It can be said that this is a stressful process. How are you supposed to know if where you wnd up is right? This is what Amelia had to say about the process: “Not going to lie, this past week was a little stressful, but running home was a feeling I can’t describe. I’m so happy I made the decision to go Greek, and can’t wait to meet all of my new sisters!”
Taylor has enjoyed bad day two years in a row, but this one was particularly special for her. Her best friends decided to go Greek, and she ran home to Taylor’s sorority! Taylor said, “It was a bittersweet feeling knowing that it was my third bid day. I’m so excited to add onto my family and get a g-little this year though! The best moment of the day was when my best friend ran to me and became a new member of this chapter that I have grown to love over the past two years.”
From everyone here at HerCampus, congratulations to all the new members of Greek at ECU!
