The CMA Awards
It’s that time of year again for big hair, sparkling dresses, and cowboy boots! It’s the Country Music Awards! Did you vote for your favorite artist and songs of the year, all you country music fans? Unfortunately for me I forgot to vote, but some of my favorite ones won the top awards and they looked fantastic. Thanks to the fabulous hosts Carrie Underwood, currently pregnant with a boy, and Brad Paisley! The dynamic duo of what it seems to be every CMA awards each year. Just in case you missed out on the awards I’ll give you a list of all the winners in each category.
Single of the Year: Miranda Lambert’s “Automatic”
Music Video of the Year: Dierks Bentley “Drunk on a Plane”
Song of the Year: Written by Kacey Musgraves, Brandy Clark, and Shane McAnally “Follow Your Arrow”
Musical Event of the Year: Keith Urban featuring Miranda Lambert “We Were Us”
New Artist of the Year: Brett Eldredge
Vocal Duo of the Year: Florida Georgia Line
Vocal Group of the Year: Little Big Town
Musician of the Year: Mac McAnally
Female Vocalist of the Year: Miranda Lambert
Male Vocalist of the Year: Blake Shelton
Album of the Year: Miranda Lambert’s Platinum
Entertainer of the Year: Luke Bryan
As you can see Miranda Lambert wrangled up all the awards this year. Just kidding only 4 but was definitely the most popular in the country music world this year. I am very excited to see Luke Bryan win Entertainer of the Year because he is downright my favorite. I don’t know about you guys, but have you see him dance at a concert? If you haven’t, you must! Otherwise a very exciting year and an amazing job to all the entertainers who participated this year! Congratulations to winners and good luck next year to the rest of the amazing artists.
