Tia Hildebrant
Freshman ‘17
Major: Psychology
I have noticed that one of my residents (I am a Resident Advisor) always has something bright and colorful on everyday even when not trying which makes her stand out. She has made different days of the week for something special like “Wedge Wednesdays” and Fancy Fridays”. Just wearing shorts doesn’t do it for Tia. She is a new freshman this year and is hoping to teach a Hip-Hop dance class and also loves learning about animal psychology!
How would you describe your style? I would describe my style as “preppy boho”.
Who is your fashion idol? I don’t really have a Fashion Idol. Who needs one of those?
Which celebrity’s closet would you love to raid? Alexis Bledel! Her style is so sophisticated and fun!
What is your must have accessory? Scarves! Every outfit can use a scarf. Every girl needs a million scarves minimum. You can never have too many scarves.
What is your staple outfit/ what is your least favorite style trend? My staple outfit is a scarf, crop top, and shorts. You can never go wrong with this combination! My least favorite style trend is when girls wear basketball shorts. That’s for home.
What is your favorite new style trend? My favorite new style trend is ombré anything. Hair, shirts, shorts. I don’t care what it is, but if it’s ombré, I love it.
What’s your favorite trend of the past? Leggings! They are not a thing of the past! Who doesn’t love to look good while being comfy?
What do you think about Eckerd’s fashion style? I think Eckerd’s fashion style is pretty poor. People walk around looking crazy! Also, no one dresses up/nice to go to class. Students should at least wear shoes.
What are your favorite stores? My favorite stores are American Eagle, H&M, and Delia’s.
What is your fashion pet peeve? Wearing pj’s in public. That is not good.
What fashion item can you not live without? I cannot live without wedges! Wedge Wednesday, ladies! You should participate with me!! Everyone loves a good pair of wedges!
Why do you love fashion? I love fashion because it is unique to every person. Everyone has a different style, and I love seeing how other people chose to express themselves.
