Waterfront Hammocks
Not only can you do various water activities here, you can also kick back and relax in the hammocks. They are conveniently placed in the shade so you won’t burn in the unforgiving sun.
Marine Science Center
Right outside of the marine science building is a sitting area that overlooks South Beach. Since it’s pretty high up, there is always a refreshing breeze. It’s also the best spot to view Eckerd’s beautiful sunsets in evening.
South Beach Patio
This is a nice place right beside South Beach to study in the shade. If you like studying with friends this is a great place for everyone to crack open their books because there is a lot of space.
Secret Beach Hole
This area is a little small and hard to find, but if you have a beach chair this area is a great place if you are looking for a secluded area to read a book or listen to music, and the beach is right at your toes.
Sheen Annex Patio
Not very many people know about this area, but its right next to the Sheen Annex building for those of you who didn’t know. It’s generally very quiet over here so your only distractions may be the birds that fly by, or the occasional fish that jumps out of the water.
Snack Break
If you are over by the classrooms and are feeling a little hungry but don’t feel like walking all the way to the Pub for a quick snack, well there is no need for huffing and gruffing. There are two vending machines conveniently in the Forrer Language Center. They provide a variety of snacks for your sugary and salty needs, and plenty of drink options from water to Pepsi.
