Earlier this term, Her Campus Durham had its very first social of the year! We were so pleased that so many writers could come to our meal at Zizzi on Saddler Street. The food was lovely, the cocktails were great but the atmosphere of the social was the best thing about the night – all of our writers, old and new, were so friendly and interested in getting involved with our team.
A massive congratulations again to our prize-winners who won prizes for things like ‘Most Read Article’ and ‘Funniest Article’. We were able to give away some of the things Her Campus in the US sent us last year in our survival kits including beautiful card holders and Her Campus pens. We hope the cold and flu relief packs came in handy too, girls!
Having discussed our exec positions and having eaten lots and lots of Haribo, a group of us decided to carry on the social at Fabio’s – Durham students’ number 1 haunt complete with cheap cocktails and a sticky dancefloor.
Despite having had a few Strawberry Daiquiris by this point I, along with my fellow editors, could tell already that we are very lucky to have a team of such lovely, talented writers! We can’t wait for our upcoming Her Campus Christmas Party – watch this space!
