Being a favourite of mine at home in London, I was really excited when I found out that Bill’s was opening in Durham. In the past few days, I’ve had a chance to go for brunch, and I was not disappointed. Advertised as a restaurant for ‘breakfast to bedtime’, it certainly can boast of a menu that will please everyone throughout the day. The décor of the restaurant is welcoming, and the rustic style is a great touch.

Looking for an amazing start to a potentially long and gruelling day of lectures? Look no further, as Bill’s will kick-start you day by providing you with a scrumptious breakfast! (It is the most important meal of the day after all).

My personal favourites are the Eggs Royale (a heavenly combination of poached eggs, smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce) and the buttermilk pancakes complete with blueberries, strawberries, banana and even some bacon, which you can add for a slight increase in price. Both of these are amazing and I would definitely recommend them!

My friends also enjoyed both the sausage and bacon rolls which they both enjoyed. There’s also a wide range of teas, coffees, hot chocolate and even a green smoothie for all you health freaks!

The lunch and dinner menus are also delicious with a wide range of food from burgers to macaroni cheese. There is also an option of sweet potato fries, which I am obsessed with! As for the deserts, oh my god, I tried the chocolate brownie with ice cream and it was the yummiest thing ever.

Also available at Bill’s are afternoon teas (yum!), and a range of affordable cocktails (perfect for us students)

Overall, I would definitely recommend Bill’s to anyone that has not already been. The ambience is cosy and inviting, the staff are friendly and the food is divine!
