Queimada is a traditional Galician drink consisting of coffee beans, sugar, apples, oranges, lemon, and of course, aguardiente (which translates to “fire water”). Once the ingredients are added, the mix is set on fire and a Galician chant is read to send out the bad spirits from the drink.
