3. Duke Coffeehouse (Open: 6pm – 2am every night)

You may be sensing a (caffeinated) trend, but the Duke Coffeehouse must be included on the list of incredible but relatively unknown places on campus. If the ambience doesn’t get you – think brightly colored walls and painted murals – how about a menu that includes milkshakes, goodies in glass jars, hot chocolate, and free high fives? Yes, you heard me right. You can get a high five from one of the awesome Coffeehouse employees. FOR FREE. The East Campus location (behind Wilson dorm) is perfect for freshmen, but the journey via C-1 is totally worth it for upperclassmen. Stop by, grab a vanilla milkshake, take advantage of the free wifi, and listen to live music from local and student bands! If you aren’t entirely sure where to go, or you want to see their events calendar, check out their website (http://www.duke.edu/web/coffeehouse). You won’t be sorry.
