5. The Oasis (Open: 4-10pm Sun-Th)

Have a midterm coming up? Looking desperately for a quiet place to study? Happen to desire free access to ridiculously comfortable massage chairs? Already near Bell Tower dorm on East Campus? Go to the ground floor immediately and take advantage of the soothing atmosphere of the Oasis. With couches, massage chairs, study space, and a fish tank (with real, live fish in it!), the Oasis is the perfect spot for relaxation after a long day. Add to that the fact that Devils After Dark occasionally hosts dessert-related events in the Oasis, and you have the makings for a tranquil, stress-free evening. Preferably in a massage chair.

Victoria Scott is a junior and English major at Duke University. On campus, she is an Editor and Photo-blogger for Her Campus, Managing Editor for The Chanticleer (the university yearbook), photographer and Copy Editor for DMIX Magazine, and a Resident Assistant. In her spare time, she enjoys baking cupcakes and playing tennis.
Betty Liu is a senior at Duke University where she is majoring in Biomedical Engineering.  Although her main interests lie in bioengineering, she loves keeping up with the latest trends on Duke's campus. Also, she enjoys learning about new music, reading and travelling around the world. One of her life dreams is to go to all seven continents! So far, she has been to four.
