On Friday, February 3rd, Duke students and supporters of Duke’s Cancer Institute came together to raise money for the cause, and to…. eat cupcakes! Yes, you heard me right. Sweet Night in Durham took place at the University Club, located at the top of Durham’s University Tower. Guests sampled delicacies from restaurants including the Washington Duke Inn, Mad Hatter Bakeshop and Cafe, Gigi’s Cupcakes, Saladelia Cafe and more. The tasty treats ranged from pound cakes to cupcakes, and from macaroons to loyo! Best of all, the proceeds from the event (which included a silent auction and a raffle) went to support the Duke Cancer Institute, which sees more than 50,000 patients annually! If you’re interested in making a charitable contribution to the cause, visit http://dukecancerfund.org/get-involved/ – every dollar makes a difference!

(Side note: Sorry for the photo quality! The romantic lighting made it difficult to avoid grainy, blurry photos! But you can still kind of appreciate the wonderful dessert options!)
