Welcome to Her Campus Duke!  It seems as if we have been waiting months to finally see that in print.  Our names are Betty Liu and Sabrina Hamilton-Payne and we are the co-Editors-in-Chiefs of HC Duke. 

First things first, thank you so much for visiting our site! These past couple of months have been absolutely insane (in the greatest way possible). It has been filled with excitement and anticipation as we’ve been scrambling to get recognized by Duke, build our staff, and figure out the logistics of an online magazine. Thankfully, we were able to reach that finish line with an amazing team that has been nothing less than extraordinary. 

 

During this whole process we were immersed, once again, into our hectic Duke lives and reminded that trying to balance school, extracurricular activities, a social life, and our sanity is not easy.  That’s why HC Duke is here. We’re here to help keep you updated with the latest fashion and beauty, as well as what’s happening on campus, whether it be upcoming events or noteworthy people. However, it does not stop there. We give you the opportunity to ask a real Duke guy your personal questions (anonymously, of course), get your fix of Cosmo-like sex articles from our very own “sexpert,” and stay informed on ways to keep healthy on campus.
 
Before you indulge in the variety of articles available, we want you to remember that this website is for you. Betty Liu is a senior at Duke University where she is majoring in Biomedical Engineering.  Although her main interests lie in bioengineering, she loves keeping up with the latest trends on Duke's campus. Also, she enjoys learning about new music, reading and travelling around the world. One of her life dreams is to go to all seven continents! So far, she has been to four.

Sabrina is a Junior at Duke University, and is double majoring in English and Public Policy. A born and bred South African, Sabrina has traveled to the USA to pursue her higher education. As well as being a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, Sabrina is also Assistant Vice President for Recruitment for the Panhellenic Association at Duke. Sabrina has written for Duke's daily newspaper, The Chronicle and Duke's fashion magazine, FORM. After graduating, she hopes to attend law school preferably in her favourite city, New York. In her spare time, Sabrina vegges out to various fashion blogs, mindless TV (Pretty Little Liars anyone?) and online shopping (which borders on an addiction). If you manage to catch her in an energetic mood, she's probably on her way to cardiodance (or to the nearest mall).
