“The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear” –Buddy the Elf

The weather is getting colder, the days are getting shorter, and the study sessions are getting longer. But have no fear! The holidays are only a month away—so here are some ways to jumpstart your holiday spirit while you are still on campus!

1. Decorate your dorm

Your room will automatically become an awesome escape from studying and will remind you of all that you have to look forward to this season.

2. Listen to holiday music

A very easy companion for both studying or relaxing in your dorm, holiday music will without fail brighten your day.

3.  Organize a secret snowflake gift exchange with your friends (try Elfster.com to make it easy!)

Your friends will love doing some special for each other before you all go your separate ways for break!

4. Holiday baking for your dorm—a perfect activity on a cold day!

The cutest of indoor activities and everyone in your dorm will love you for it.

5.    Watch holiday movies

Everyone has a favorite—find yours online and enjoy! Some personal favorites are Home Alone, Elf, and The Santa Clause.

Lizzie is a freshman at Duke University from New York City. She enjoys spending her summers being a camp counselor on Cape Cod and spending time with her family on the small island of North Haven, Maine. So far, her favorite part of Her Campus has been starting to see every Duke experience and lesson as a new topic to help other girls with or connect with them over. Lizzie is excited to continue writing and evolving this semester!
