Why did you choose to come to Duke?
I actually don’t have a good reason. I think it was because Duke looks like Hogwarts.
What’s your dream job?
I’m not 100% sure yet, but I think I’d like to work with the WHO or design health intervention strategies for neurological and psychological diseases/disorders.
What’s your favorite place to eat in Durham?
Guglhupf because their weekend brunch is truly a gift from God.
Who’s your role model?
I have different role models for different traits or aspects of my life. I appreciate my best friend’s empathy, Dr. Boyd’s passion for global health, my sister’s confidence, etc. Everyone has something to offer.
What’s something that people would be surprised to know about you?
I have grapheme-color synesthesia (a form of synesthesia in which an individual’s perception of numbers and letters is associated with the experience of colors)
