The Best Ways to Procrastinate

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Duke chapter.
This superlative may seem like an oxymoron, but during midterms everyone has those

moments when you REALLY need a homework break, and it’s best to do so while still being

(somewhat) productive, so you don’t feel guilty later.

1. Do your laundry

You’re going to have to do it at some point, so why not now?

2. Grocery shop

Buy all the snacks necessary to fuel your studying!!

3. Workout

The best stress reliever that you will never feel guilty about. Plus since you just bought all

those snacks, you’re gonna need a little exercise.

4. Catch up on TV shows

Let’s be honest, you’re going to watch them at some point, so allow yourself a little Netflix.

But be careful because one episode can quickly turn into three. Watching TV can be a great

distraction from homework and studying and an amazing way to relax.

5. Call your family or home friends

Don’t let your old friendships drift apart, FaceTime your high school bestie or your sister to

catch up or to vent about all your midterms. Your parents and grandparents are always

appreciative of a call as well.
