2012 Grammy Awards: Adele is Unstoppable!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Duke chapter.

The 2012 Grammy Awards were all about Adele. The British singer swept the night, taking home six awards and winning every category that she was nominated in. She even got the coveted trifecta: album, record, and song of the year. Here’s a recap of her awards:

Album of the Year: 21
Record of the Year: “Rolling in the Deep”
Song of the Year: “Rolling in the Deep”
Pop Solo Performance: “Someone Like You”
Pop Vocal Album: 21

Best Short Form Music Video: “Rolling in the Deep”

Adele already has two Grammys from 2009 as well. She now matches international superdiva Beyonce for the most Grammys won on a single night by a female performer.

On top of her music triumphs, Adele looked positively STUNNING. She joined the ranks of the best dressed of the night, proving that this 23-year-old beauty really can have it all. Check out how to get her makeup look here!

Here are some other great dresses from the night!

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow looked classy, as usual, in a sleek Stella McCartney gown.

Rihanna turned heads in this revealing Versace original. Chris Brown, who?

Kelly Rowland looked great in this peach dress by Alberta Ferretti with gorgeous appliqué detailing on the bodice.

And then, of course, there’s Carrie Underwood in Monique Lhuillier. When doesn’t she look good?

Which dress was your favorite?

If you manage to catch her in an energetic mood, she's probably on her way to cardiodance (or to the nearest mall).
