I know that I am a girl who lives off Pinterest. I love seeing the seasonal trends for fashion and bringing my own unique style into them. Here are some of my spring closet essentials on rotation:

1. Midi and Maxi Skirts

I am a skirt girl. You can never go wrong with a flowy midi or maxi skirt and bonus if it has a floral pattern. You want to wear a pair of Chuck 70’s or knee-high black boots? Perfect. You can never go wrong.

2. Denim Vests

Okay, so vests are coming back in style, and I am all for that. My favorite way to style a fitted denim vest is the classic denim-on-denim moment with a mini skirt or over a white dress paired with cowboy boots. It is the perfect piece to spice up any outfit while keeping it classy and casual.

3. Overalls

If you are not an overall girl already, you need to buy a pair. They are my favorite-go-to staple for any day and are the most comfortable pieces that I own. As a plus, they are warm enough for the colder months but are able to cool off for the hot summer days. In addition, many second-hand stores carry a large collection of denim overalls.

4. Cowboy Boots

After Coachella 2023, I think we can all agree that cowboy boots have come back in style. While they can be a statement piece of the outfit, they are versatile and comfortable enough for everyday wear. I love a good red cowboy boot with a feminine dress and ribbons the hair. I mean come on! Just perfection.

5. Newsboy Caps

If you know me, you know I always wear a newsboy cap. These can be paired with baggy jeans and a baby tee as well as a spring dress for a little extra flair. In my opinion, these hats are the perfect option for style and comfort, which makes it essential in your closet.

6. Excessive Jewelry

I have always been a jewelry girl and a firm believer in the more the better. Whether you’re a gold, silver, or mixed-metals gal, accessorizing with copious amounts of jewelry is sure to catch anyone’s eye. This season, opt for statement earrings, necklaces, and rings. Don’t downplay the importance of accessories to make the outfit shine!

7. Platform Sandals

While these are more difficult to find at second-hand stores, they spice up any outfit for a spring or summer day. You can find vintage sandals on Depop, an online reselling website. I love to wear mine with a pair of low-rise jeans, a skirt, or shorts to walk around campus in. Be careful to get ones that are comfortable enough for everyday use!
