La Belle Rosette describes themselves as a “family operated neighborhood espresso bar by day, wine bar by night”, inviting DU students and local residents to “come enjoy our delicious espressos, coffees, loose-leaf teas, pastries made from scratch and breakfast-lunch menu” during the day time and to “come back later to sample our tapas menu paired with great signature cocktails, wines and beers.” Located next to the Pio, La Belle Rosette is a wonderful gem of the DU area.

By being family owned, La Belle gives you one of the most homely vibes. Ordering from them never feels impersonal, rather you feel like a part of the family. The place itself is full of warm tones, decorated with local artist works that are for sale, and is a smaller, cozy size, again, making you feel at home! If you feel homesick easily, maybe make this little shop a part of your routine.

La Belle is not only the place to go for a coffee break, but it is also a great place to sip some wine while cramming out that last final paper! Monday through Saturday their Happy Hour is from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M., and you can choose from a menu of beer, cocktails, and wine (one of my personal favorites is their White Russian).
