Charlie Carothers ’15

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DU chapter.

It was no hard task finding the University of Denver’s firstever Campus Cutie. Ladies, meet Charlie Carothers. You may have seen him at the Sigma Chi house, on the club lacrosse field or on the slopes. Just like he may have seen you drooling over his smile, trying to act natural in his presence or breaking out your snorkel to dive into those eyes. In the interest of his many admirers, we’ve sacrificed ourselves to find out everything you need to know about charming Charlie (and somehow managed to remain conscious the whole time).

Her Campus: Well Charlie, how do you feel about being DU’s first Campus Cutie?Charlie Carothers: “It’s quite the honor. I can really see Her Campus becoming popular with the girls here on campus!”

HC: What’s your favorite quality in a girl?CC: “Definitely gorgeous eyes and someone who’s fun to be around.”

HC: What’s your idea of a perfect date?CC: “Driving her to Lookout Mountain, then cooking dinner for her.”

HC: If you could relate your pick-up game to anyone, who would it be?CC: “Barney from How I Met Your Mother.

HC: What’s your favorite part about DU?Charlie: “Being near the mountains – I love skiing and hiking.”

HC: Boxers or briefs?CC: “Boxers!”

HC: What’s something most people don’t know about you?CC: “I really love to sail.”

HC: Where do you see yourself in five years?CC: “I don’t even know where I see myself in one year… I guess hopefully in a big city with a job I enjoy, preferably client-based personal investing in the financial services industry.”

HC: How many kids do you want, if any, and where do you want to raise your family?CC: “I think I want three or four kids, and I definitely want them to grow up in the same area I did and go to my high school.”

HC: What has been your favorite memory at DU?CC: “I have so many! I guess I’d say Sigma Chi Derby Days because we have all of the sororities chasing us around campus all week… and it’s for charity!”
