Beautiful Places Pt. 2: Bangkok, Thailand

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DU chapter.

We’re back with Beautiful Places Part 2! After visiting the breezy mediterranean beaches and winding mountain streets of Lisbon, Portugal, we now move east to the bustling outdoor markets and winding rivers of Bangkok, Thailand. With 8 million inhabitants, Bangkok is a city merging new, global commerce with a dense and colorful cultural history, and with some of the friendliest locals, Bangkok should make it on your list of undiscovered travel destinations.

Your first stop should be the outdoor markets, becuase if you’re even the smallest bit hungry, you’re sure to find food for every taste, as well as goods from around the region. Be sure to stop back here at the end of your trip to stock up on souvenirs! Chatuchak Weekend Market boasts the largest and most diverse range of goods in Bangkok, and covers numerous city blocks.
