Some of my favorite things in the world are clothes, being sustainable, and not spending money. Buying second-hand combines all of these three tasks, which makes being fashionable an accessible venture. Nothing beats getting coffee with the girls at Stella’s Coffee Haus and then having a day of amazing thrift finds. I mean, who can say telling someone you got a unique piece second-hand is not a huge ego boost?

Here is a compiled list of second-hand stores in Denver for you to check out. Who knows, maybe you will find your next favorite piece for your closet.

Goodwill Outlet World

Multiple Locations

Featured: 3155 S Platte River Drive, Englewood, CO, 80110

Price: $

At already the lowest price second-hand clothing can be, the Goodwill Outlet World, specifically the Englewood location, has the most unique finds in an accessible location to DU. Lovingly called “The Bins”, Goodwill Outlet World always has new pieces in rotation every 30 minutes, which guarantees you a wide selection. You pay by the pound at this chain, making Goodwill Outlet World the perfect place if you are on a budget or want a cheaper experience, which makes it my personal favorite place for second-hand clothing.

Goodwill of Colorado

Multiple Locations

Featured: 21 S Broadway Street, Denver, CO, 80209

Price: $$

The Broadway location of Denver’s Goodwill stores may arguably be the most unique store. Located in the heart of Denver’s vintage shopping, this location provides a more budget-friendly break amongst the stores. Upon walking in, you are immediately greeted by dozens of racks all organized by type and size of clothing. This location is the biggest Goodwill I have ever seen, which makes this a must-visit for your next trip.

Arc Thrift Stores

Multiple Locations

Featured: 1515 S Broadway Street, Denver, CO, 80210

Price: $$

Similar to Goodwill, Arc Thrift Stores have many locations in the Denver area, all with a variety of products including clothes, furniture, home goods, and accessories. If you are looking for name brands, Arc Thrift Store is likely to have recognized brands such as Zara and Lululemon. In addition, their many locations make it a convenient choice for a day out, one being just a mile away from Goodwill’s Broadway location.

Crossroads Trading

Multiple Locations

Featured: 51 N Broadway Street, Denver, CO, 80203

Price: $$$

Crossroads Trading is located just a block away from Goodwill’s Broadway location and is perfect for your seasonal closet needs. Unlike many second-hand stores, Crossroads Trading does not have a shortage or lack of dressing rooms and can host all of your friends. In addition, Crossroads Trading caters to a variety of styles for those who prefer to dress edgier versus those who gleam in sundresses. Whatever the occasion may hold, Crossroads Trading is definitely a place to check out in the near future.

Show Pony Vintage

2025 S University Boulevard, Denver, CO, 80210

Price: $$$$

Show Pony Vintage is a retro store that selectively hosts sellers on their spiral racks. Their colorful ambiance is playful and energetic. Clerks encourage an exploration of style and are helpful in deciding factors of a piece. Their singular location is right outside of DU’s campus, making the students their prime audience.

Goldmine Vintage

227 N Broadway Street, Unit 102, Denver, CO, 80203

Price: $$$$

Another one of Broadway’s gems lies Goldmine Vintage. They specialize in vintage dresses ranging from the 1940’s to 1990’s. If you need a unique and personal outfit for a special occasion, Goldmine Vintage is sure to have it. This location is my personal favorite for occasion pieces or vintage belts. Individually, Goldmine Vintage has an array of prices in stock so that every style is accommodated. Check out this store for personal clothing pieces with a relaxed atmosphere.

Garage Sale Vintage

1460 Larimer Street, Denver, CO, 80202

Price: $$$$

The oh-so-famous Garage Sale Vintage is based in Larimer Square, a prime spot for Denver’s hottest restaurants. The first floor of the store has a full-service bar while the second floor contains many individual sellers. Garage Sale Vintage always will play 80’s hits and the customers and clerks alike bear grins. Similar to Goldmine Vintage, Garage Sale Vintage has a large price range and includes a sale section in their upper level. After shopping around, be sure to walk around Larimer Square to find your new favorite dish.

Boss Vintage

10 S Broadway Street, Denver, CO, 80209

Price: $$$$$

Out of this list, Boss Vintage sports the most unique clothing and highest quality of denim. Their specialty is in denim pieces across the decades for both masculine, feminine, and anything-in-between styles. In addition, they house a variety of decade’s dresses that are sure to find their way into your closet. Boss Vintage is neatly organized into articles of clothing as well as by the decade which makes shopping at this location stress-free!

La Lovely Vintage

42 N Broadway Street, Denver, CO, 80203

At La Lovely Vintage, a few stores away from Boss Vintage on Broadway Street, you are bound to find the perfect pair of Levi’s jeans for you. In addition, La Lovely Vintage has a marvelous collection of overalls and even children’s clothes for all age ranges. While this location is on the higher end of the prices listed, the quality of their clothes is outstanding with many pieces seeming new. To make this store even better, La Lovely Vintage has many local accessories in stock from air plants to handmade jewelry, making this store a must-visit.
