Whether you are broke and looking to avoid a ramen-filled lunch, or because you use your oven for shoe-storage, free food on campus is a great way to fill your tummy and meet people simultaneously.

Check out these spots on campus for freebies and add your own in the comments!

The Triangle General Body Meetings

Whoever said that diamonds were a girls’ best friend, never understood the power of pizza. Every Monday night, The Triangle holds a meeting in McAlister 3010. New writers, photographers, and sports lovers are always welcome. Bonus: there’s free pizza!

College of Arts and Sciences’ Meet & Greets

Once a term the College of Arts and Sciences hosts a Meet and Greet. Students are welcome to enjoy food—a lot of it—while meeting with professors. Not only will you have the opportunity to gain thirty pounds from artichoke dip, but you can also have conversations with professors who do not necessarily teach in your field.

International Café

This great event, hosted by the International Area Studies department, allows students to learn about a wide-range of topics in the international field. Past speakers have discussed Syrian rebels and the current state of Africa. Students can ask questions and discuss these pertinent issues. The cherry on top: free lunch catered by Hummus. Check the Drexel Events Calendar to find out when the next cafe will appear!

Student Organization Information Sessions and Meetings

If you join five student organizations that meet during the week, you’ll never have to pay for dinner. Many student organizations know that the way into your heart is through free food, which is why so many club meetings often provide pizza or pretzels and beverages.

Au Bon Pain

Technically this isn’t totally free, but at the end of the day, Au Bon Pain at 30th Street Station sells its baked goods for a 50% discount which will simultaneously cure you of all of your stress and make you happy. You may get a sugar rush, but hey, you’ll be happy!
