By the time Wednesday rolls around, Drexel’s campus will be like the Hans in the summer: practically a ghost town. If you are someone who can’t go home during break, don’t fret! There are plenty of things going on around campus to keep you busy and help kick off the holiday season.

Volunteer: Manna and many other organizations will be hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for those in need and need volunteers to help by serving food or preparing food baskets. What better way to be grateful for the things you have than helping others?

Parades: Going all the way to New York City to see the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is kind of a hassle, but there will be parades here in the city too! Check out campusphilly.org for more information.

Staff Hosted Meal: For international students, Drexel professors and staff members will open their homes and host a holiday meal. This is a great way to truly understand the tradition of Thanksgiving.

Luncheon: The International Students Scholar Services (ISSS) will host a lunch on Tuesday, November 25 for international students that are away from home. You will enjoy a good Thanksgiving meal before the break starts.

Catch up on homework: Yes, maybe this is boring but with finals week just around the corner, you will be so grateful that you worked on  MATLAB instead of just sitting around watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix.
