Style is beyond just what you wear. It’s who you are, an extension of your personality and what the world sees when their eyes first fall on you. If you’re still working on developing your personal style or are looking for tips to refine it, we’ve got you covered. Here’s our style guide!

What Do You Want to Say?

Through your style, you’re sending the world a message about who you are. What do you want to say? That you love classic pieces mixed in with some funky and new trends? That you are all about the monochrome life, no matter what season? That you have one style icon that you follow religiously? The power is in your hand, get styling!

Inspiration

Figuring out what you want to say can be difficult. It’s hard to encompass your multi-dimensional personality into one cohesive look. Search for style inspiration from your favorite celebrities, magazines or social media influencers. Making an Instagram folder and saving looks or creating an inspiration journal is an easy way to start and organize your ideas. Then narrow down what you like about it and incorporate that into your style.

Experimentation

Don’t be afraid to experiment a little! Style is meant to be ever evolving, which means that you might look back and laugh or cringe, but that’s all a part of discovering who you are. It’s okay to try out a new trend every once in a while, even after you feel like you’ve developed a solid sense of style. Who knows what doors that can open for you!

Marie Kondo

Like one of Marie Kondo’s principles, if it doesn’t spark interest, it’s time to let it go. If you’re holding onto pieces that no longer go with your style, it is time to donate it to your local Goodwill or even recycle at an H&M location near you. Letting go is essential to moving forward.

There is No Right or Wrong

There is absolutely no way you can go wrong with your personal style! Don’t let yourself get lost in what others tell you or what is conventionally accepted as stylish. It’s all about who you are, just let that shine and you’re good to go!
