Campus Cutie: Paul Lachaud

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Drexel chapter.

Paul Lachaud

Age: 21

Major: Mechanical Engineering

Class: 2015

What are your hobbies? Learning really weird facts about history, animals, technology or math. Books are cool, too.

Are you involved in any student organizations? I’m currently involved in The National Society of Black Engineers, and I volunteer at U.S. Dream Academy at the moment. I’m a previous member of Drexel Literary Society, AiChE and Student Ambassadors.

What is your favorite part about Drexel? Honestly, being able to see the campus change. Not having access to huge sections of campus for a long time, then being able to enjoy awesome new building feels good.

Why did you choose Drexel? I chose Drexel because it has given me the opportunity to do everything I’ve wanted to do in college plus more. My great co-op experiences, undergraduate research, study abroad and much more. Plus Philly is my hometown. I don’t regret the Drexel experience one bit. Live it.

What do you want to do after you graduate? After I graduate, I want to go into Control Systems R&D for neuroprosthetics in industry or academia.
