You either log on to Pinterest every day or you’ve completely forgotten about this social media platform after you signed up. While there is no in between of a Pinterest obsession (sarcasm people, read my other articles), I’m hoping that even the most intensive Pinners and the Drexel collegiettes who’ve never pinned a thing in their life can agree that the list below would appear on any Drexel student’s Pinterest.
1. Time Management Tips
Many a blogger and education experts have offered their suggestions for multitasking and fitting multiple extracurriculars into a week without going crazy, and Pinterest offers the perfect place to store all of them. Even if you’re only inspired by the intricate infographics that show the optimal breakdown of time allocation, these articles are a part of any Drexel student’s Pinterest and are probably the most used as well.
2. Cute, Comfy Study Outfits
Leggings, leggings, and more leggings are the core component of any Drexel collegiette’s study attire, and luckily, they also seem to be a favorite topic on Pinterest. There are many suggestions and outfit inspiration pictures and blog posts throughout the website. The leggings inpso inspire you to finally pull that slightly wrinkled button up from the top of “the chair” pile and pair it with some comfy leggings.
3. Cheap & Quick Recipes
Between night classes, working part time at your past co-op and maintaining a social life making time to cook a dinner your mom would be proud of is nearly impossible. Behold the lifesaving technology of the crockpot – a cooking appliance that has experienced a strong resurgence thanks to the devoted love from avid pinners. Paired with a trip to the grocery store and a lot of patience, these pins can fuel you for ages without the effort.
4. Dorm Décor Inspiration
Saying, “This is what dreams are made of” is not an over exaggeration when it comes to Pinterest dorm-spiration. Given the small room sizes and how most of our funds go toward tuition and food, Pinterest enables us to create our dream dorm online, without adding to our debt. Plus, you don’t have to clean it or coordinate the colors with your roommate if your dream room is on the internet.
5. Fast Food Restaurant Hacks
As if Drexel students needed to complicate their Starbucks order even more, Pinterest houses every possible type of secret menu item you could imagine! From secret Chipotle Quesaritos, to Butterbeer Frappuccinos at Starbucks, this site holds the key to genius fast food hacks available all around campus. Fast food tastes okay and is cheap, but when you can hack a basic menu item, fast food becomes great tasting and inexpensive.
6. East Coast Weekend Getaways
Living on the east coast and in such a central travel hub, we can (somewhat affordably) go to a plethora of different cities and towns. Pinterest is full of ideas for quick vacations that fit any budget and time allowance. The pictures that accompany these vacation posts are also ridiculously beautiful and give every viewer extreme wanderlust as they avoid studying.
7. Career Prep
From work-appropriate capsule wardrobes to packed lunch ideas, Pinterest is a career collegiette’s haven. We’re always on the lookout for new and cute styles that you can wear from class to co-op to cocktail hour and there is no shortage of that on this site. There’s a broad range of desk exercises and healthy snack ideas to help keep you healthy at work too, which can hopefully help you fend off your 4th visit to the snack drawer today.
8. Tailgate Food & Swag
Hey, a collegiette can dream, right? You never know when you’ll get invited to a Temple or Rutgers tailgate, so you need to be prepared! For this occasion is where all those unhealthy cooking tutorials are held, along with DIYs for adding team logos to your denim jacket. Again, you never know when this will be needed, but it’s always better to have it.
